Telephone and Fax Numbers

2.15 million records within the NBD are populated with Telephone numbers, of which 5% included Fax numbers.  Users can append telephone and fax numbers to their data using this comprehensive file.

SIC Codes

Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes are used globally as a method of market segmentation and profiling purposes.  They allow users to target clusters more effectively and position their products / services more effectively.
There are four main SIC codes in widespread use globally, two for the US (US72 and US87) and two for the UK (UK80 and UK92). All four SIC codes are provided with the SIC codes DataPlus dataset

Mosaic Codes

Mosaic codes is a system that enables businesses to visualise and analyse their commercial customers and identify the characteristics that make them more likely to be profitable, loyal customers. This allows future business prospects sharing similar characteristics to be targeted.

The benefits of using Commercial Mosaic include:
• A better understanding and knowledge of customers
• The identification of new target groups leading to more effective targeting and evaluation
• Increased profitability

Company Registration Office  Number

This dataset, CRO, only applies to limited companies, whether private limited companies (Ltd.) or public limited companies (Plc.) and provides the official Company Registration Office (CRO) number for all limited companies included within the data.  As such this number applies to about 43% of the organisations included within the data.

This number is created by Companies House and must be used on all annual returns from that company and must be printed on any company stationery.  The CRO number is persistent – it will not change if the company name changes.

Number of Employees

The Employee Numbers DataPlus data set returns an approximate figure for the number of employees at a given site/location. This data can be particularly useful for segmentation and profiling purposes, and also for prospect qualification or prioritisation.
