Data Suppression - Data Sources

Suppression Data Sources

disConnect

Supplied by Equifax Plc and is compiled from their extensive databases across many business sectors containing over 40 Million records which consist of goneaways, deceased and complaints. This is a highly reliable source as the urgency of reporting moves or deaths to ongoing accounts within financial services is great. Equifax also offer a service called reConnect, whereby you can opt to have the new address of any disConnect goneaway supplied back to you (where the new address is recorded).

Mortascreen

Supplied by Millennium Data and contains the name and address details of over 8 million deceased individuals. On average 50,000 new records are added to the file per month, accounting for around 95% of all deaths in the UK. Each record is allocated a source indicator ranging from level 10, probate data, to level 1, third party data. These indicators enable users to determine their own screening levels dependant on the input data. It is recommended that any cold lists are screened against all source indicators and client databases are to be screened using level 7 and above. A Death certificate or other absolute proof of death has been provided for over 80% of all records in the file (these records have a minimum source indicator of level 7).
